I have learnt a lot in that time, normally the hard way, about moving to and living in a foreign country. Here I have another chance to pass that knowledge on, as I already act as mentor for Madeira for The Daily Telegraph in the UK. I even hope to straighten out some small injustices on the island by ensuring users of this website don't have to learn things the hard and expensive way, as I did in some cases.
