Children up to 4 years of age are carried free (meals to be paid by adult in charge); between 5 and 9 years of age will pay 50% of the normal price. The tour operator merely acts as intermediary between passenger and restaurants or transportation and may in no way be held legally responsible for failure or accident resulting from these services. | 14. PALHEIRO FERREIRO / MONTE - Price €28. (Thursday - half day morning) The Levada begins in the high area above Funchal, between the eucalyptus trees and the indigenous forest. During the course of the walk, we will have the chance to appreciate the magnificent views of Funchal. At the end we will visit Monte where we can appreciate the remarkable gardens where Sissy, the Austrian empress walked, and see the typical toboggan (carros de cesto). Grade: 4 Km - Easy |
| 15. RABAÇAL / 25 FONTES - Price €36. (Tuesday & Saturday - Full Day) Going towards the west coast of the Island a short stop will be made in Encumeada before starting the walk at Rabaçal (a protected natural area). After this pleasant three-hour walk along two short Levadas with a remarkable evergreen landscape and waterfalls, a visit will be paid to the village of Calheta (on the sunny southwest coast). Grade: 9Km - Moderate |
| 16. RIBEIRO FRIO / PORTELA - Price €36 (Wednesday -Full Day) One of the most beautiful Levadas on the Island, where we can see some species of the indigenous forest. Before the start, we will have the chance to visit a trout hatchery and through the journey we can see bird species. During the 12 km (4 hours) of journey, we will stop for a light meal. Grade: 12Km - Moderate |

CALDEIRÃO VERDE - Price €36 (Thursday - Full Day) This walk is made in the highest area of Santana, and will start in the Natural Park of Queimadas through a winding Levada and after passing though several short tunnels you arrive at Caldeirão Verde, a majestic waterfall. On the return route, we will pay a visit to Santana. Grade: 12Km - Moderate |
| 18. PICO DO ARIEIRO / PICO RUIVO - Price €36 (Friday - Full Day) We start with a unique view from Pico do Arieiro at an altitude of 1810 metres. Step by step we will follow the outline of the abrupt mountains. At the end of 5 km, we will stop for a picnic (not included in the price shown). In the afternoon, we will leave heading to Santana where we can see the thatched roofed houses, after walking for 3 km. Grade: 13Km -Moderate |
